Easter Sabbath is almost here. Several pastors have shared how they and their churches plan to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus.
If you're looking for worship opportunities this weekend, you might consider joining these churches:
EPIC CHURCH

Epic Chicago and Epic Suburbs' Easter Sabbath services are titled "Risen and Reigning" and will emphasize the resurrection life that Jesus' resurrection has made possible for believers. On Sunday morning, both Epic congregations will once again gather at Montrose Beach for a special sunrise service at 6:26 a.m. They will be joined by Hinsdale Fil-Am.

NORTH SHORE CHURCH

North Shore's Easter service, "Hallelujah: Love Has Arisen," will follow Jesus' life from the triumphal entry to the resurrection. The service will weave hymns with Scripture readings to narrate key themes, such as the last supper and Jesus' trial before Pilate. Pastor Jonathan Burnett will offer the homily, "Love Has Risen"

HINSDALE FIL-AM

Hinsdale Fil-Am is renting Avenue Christian Church in Clarendon Hills on Sabbath, April 4, from 10 a.m to 12 p.m. for a special Easter service: "He is Risen: Finding Yourself in the Story of Jesus." The service will contain "a contemporary style of worship that is multi-generational and multi-cultural" and "catered for all ages." Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to reserve a free spot. On Sunday, April 5, HFA will be joining Epic Church at Montrose Beach for the 6:30 a.m. sunrise service. Avenue Christian Church

DOWNERS GROVE

Downers Grove's 11:00 a.m. service theme is "The Greatest Story Ever Told." Join them on April 4 as they reflect on the most powerful story in history—the life, sacrifice, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through scripture, music, and narration, they will walk through the events of Easter and celebrate the hope of the resurrection.
Pastor Ira Bartolome makes it clear that everyone is welcome.

ANDREWS UNIVERSITY PASSION PLAY

Not every church is conducting an Easter service. Several pastors (Samuel Indreiu, Tytus Gudzowski, Ruslan Drumi, and Willie Joel) are inviting their churches to Andrews University for a gripping re-enactment of Jesus' final week.
The Passion Play operates between 10 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and requires a free reservation. Each group walk-through takes about two hours.
NEXT STEPS
Other churches will be honoring the death and resurrection of Jesus as well. If you are looking for a church in your area, search here.
