Dear Illinois Conference Family,
Over the last week, we have watched in horror and sadness the death of George Floyd, and the reaction of many, both peaceful and violent, who are appalled by the continued behavior and actions of discrimination, hate, and violence in this country. For all those affected, we want you to know you are loved and valued. There is a day coming when all things will be set right.
As for today, I want to invite each member of our Conference to pray every day for God’s love and justice to prevail. We are living in unprecedented times. I believe Jesus is coming soon. I am looking forward to that day when He, the King of Kings, will take us to our eternal home. A home free of discrimination, marginalization, free of pain, and free of all suffering and injustices. Until then, I want to urge you to keep your eyes on Jesus, and to do all you can to defend the weak, oppressed, and marginalized (Proverbs 31:8, 9), and to call for justice to prevail.
My friends, let us continue to put our trust in our almighty God. Isaiah Isaiah 12:2 puts it this way,
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.” Let us cling to God’s promises, focus on walking with Jesus, and use our voices to promote fairness, equality, love, and hope, “to every kindred, race, tongue, and people.”
May God bless you and keep you,
President, Illinois Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

The Illinois Conference will be opening on Monday morning, June 1. Office hours will be 8 AM to 5 PM Monday to Thursday. As the state is currently operating in Phase 3 of the re-opening guidelines, we will be limited to 10 persons in the building at one time. Please note the following principles if you need to come to the office:
Thank you for working with us to protect the vulnerable.
This new time that we are in where we cannot physically go to church has also presented it challenges when it comes to returning tithe and giving offerings to support the church in these days. Most of your churches have now set up a way of giving on line through Adventist Giving. Please donate your tithes and offerings through your local church wherever possible. Here is a tutorial video that will explain how the online giving system works.

Greetings! I am glad you have stopped by our website. Who are we? The Illinois Conference is home to almost 14,000 members of the Seventh-day Adventist church, living in Chicagoland and the state of Illinois. We, the Conference, exist to serve the needs of more than 120 churches, companies, and mission groups, as well as 11 schools around our territory. Our desire is for every member to grow into a fully mature follower (disciple) of Jesus, and for all of us to share the Good News that Jesus loves each one of us, that each person matters to God, and that He invites each to be in relationship with Him.
We also look forward with confident expectation to the return of Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We believe in Jesus' words found in the Gospel of John, chapter 14, verse 3, that He will come back to take us to be with Him forever. What wonderful news!
May God bless each one of you. And, please remember, that no matter where you are in your journey with God, He loves you, and invites you to walk with Him. May each one of us share this Good News with others, is my prayer, in Jesus name and for His sake.
