ILLINOIS CONFERENCE OF SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS

Devotional was given by students from Crest Hill Christian Junior Academy.
 
President’s Report
  • Departmental Report: Communication Department, given by Shona Cross.
  • Disciple-making
    • We held our 10th Annual Prayer Conference, which was hosted by guest Randy Maxwell. This conference enjoyed the highest attendance ever.
  • Leadership
    • Pastor-leaders in Illinois have grown from 5% in 2011 to 40%.  Intentional training is ongoing.
    • Three pastors were ordained this year, Adrian Amarandei, Jose Saint Phard and Ruslan Drumi.
  • Church-planting
    • Three new church plants:  WellSpring, REACH and Maranatha Hispanic.
  • Education
    • CrestHill was able to move back into their facility after 3 months.
  • Camp Akita
    • New zip line installed. 
    • Mission Camp Akita will be in Spring and Fall.  Pastors will be required to attend and encouraged to bring some skilled people with them. 
 
Sale of Conference Building
REPORTED the Illinois Conference Association voted to accept offer of $2,100,000 on the conference office building.
 
Membership Report
Reported        There have been 36 baptisms and 11 professions of faith and 67 letters of transfer in the fourth quarter to date. Current membership is 13,732.
 
New Company/ REACH Community (The Dwelling Place)
VOTED          to approve the Reach Mission Group to Company status and to have the name, The
                        Dwelling Place: A Seventh-day Adventist Company,
