President’s Report
  • Departmental Report:  Education Department made by the new Superintendent of Education, Ron Huff.
  • In August, Conference Administration held Town Hall Meetings around the Conference.
  • A group of 17 individuals just returned from doing evangelistic series in Panama. There were 64 baptisms.
  • Conference is sponsoring a mission trip to Iquitos, Peru, from October 5-16.
            .
Membership Report: There have been 58 baptisms and 9 professions of faith and 67 letters of transfer in the second quarter 2016. Current membership is 13,725.
           
Conference Policy and Employee Handbook – Voted to approve the updated Policy and Employee Handbook which has simpler language and is now more in line with the Lake Union and North American Division Policies and also includes a section of the Education Policy.        
 
Use and Occupancy Agreement / Goshen Church – The Executive Committee voted to approve the Use and Occupancy Agreement between Goshen Church and Destiny Christian Elementary School.
 
Youth Director – It was voted to invite Michael Campos to serve as the Illinois Conference Youth Director. He has accepted. Michael Campos is currently the Lead Pastor in Grand Rapids, MI. Transition time has yet to be determined.
