One: President’s Report - Elder Pichette shared the following:
  1. On October 16-17, the first Illinois SEEDS Conference was held. The presenter was Tom Evans, the North American Division Church Plant Director. There were sixty-five attendees from the Illinois Conference. Five pastors committed to plant a church; and there were nine other decisions to lead a church plant. There were also 16 decisions to be part of a church plant.
  2. The Illinois Conference has planted 8 churches in the past four years. Another 8–10 are to be planted in the next twelve months. A culture of church planting is growing. The Church Planting Committee will host a Spring Rally (training) and Fall Festival (celebration) each year. The first festival is planned for November 21 at the West Central Church.
  3. On October 18-19, a Pastor/Teacher Convocation was held. Claudio and Pam Consuegra, the North American Division Family Ministries leaders, presented. Pastors received Pre-marital and Marital Counseling certification.
  4. Appreciation to Pastor Ron Schultz. He organized the 9th Annual Prayer Retreat this past weekend at Camp Akita. Pastor Kevin Wilfley was the speaker.
 
Two: Church Closure/Hungarian SDA Church
The Executive Committee approved the request from the Hungarian Church to officially close as a church, and transfer their nine remaining church members to the Chicago Romanian church, effective immediately.
 
Three: Company Closure/New Hope Company
The Executive Committee approved the request from the New Hope Company to officially close as a company and transfer their remaining church members to the Springfield Church, effective December 31, 2015.
           
Four: Health Evangelism Mission Trip/Chicago Central Korean Church
The Executive Committee voted to approve the mission trip request of the Chicago Central Korean Church to Peru from October 28, 2015 to November 4, 2015.
 
Five: Illinois Conference Volunteer Children’s Ministries Coordinator
The Executive Committee voted to approve Rosa Morales to serve as the Illinois Conference Volunteer Children’s Ministry Coordinator.
 
Six: Illinois Conference Area Youth Coordinators
The Executive Committee voted to approve Carol Barnhurst and Sheri Lewis as the Illinois Conference Area Volunteer Youth Coordinators.
 
Seven: Church Plant / Western Chicagoland
The Executive Committee voted to approve Elder Paul Korac’s request to plant a new church in western Chicagoland.
